DUNGEONS: DANGEROUS (YET VALUABLE)

Dungeons are small areas in minecraft. Here is what a dungeon looks like.

a dungeon in minecraft. The torches were placed by a player.
Dungeons contain these things:
Mossy cobblestone, chests, a monster spawner (50% chance of being a zombie spawner, 25% chance of being a spider spawner, and 25% chance of being a skeleton spawner), chests (contains valuable items), and cobblestone.
mossy cobblestone minecraft (can also be found in jungle temples) Mossy cobblestone makes the floor of the dungeon

cobblestone (makes up the walls of the dungeon)
monster spawner. (without the miniscale monster inside it)

chest

WHERE TO FIND A DUNGEON: Dungeons can be found underground (usually connected to caves) and sometimes in deserts in rectangular pits in the sand.

MONSTER SPAWNER: A monster spawner will only operate if the player is 16 blocks away from it. Small flames will come from the spawner. A monster will spawn every once and a while. A monster spawner will work faster if it is darker inside the dungeon. A spawner can be destroyed with a pickaxe. (but you will not retrieve the spawner) You can pick it up if you mine it with a pickaxe that has a "silk touch" enchantment.

CHEST: The chest in a dungeon has a chance of containing these items.

What can be in the dungeon chest. (don't get your hopes too high about finding a golden apple, though.)
