FINDING WATERMELONS: You can only find water melons in ABANDONED MINESHAFT CHESTS. They will come in the form of a watermelon seed.

GROWING WATERMELONS: Watermelons can be grown the same as pumpkins, where if you plant the seeds on fertile land you will get a tiny watermelon sprout. If you do not know how to make fertile land with a hoe, click
HERE. Fertile land needs to have water at least 4 blocks away, or it will dry out. Here is a proper watermelon farm setup.

A melon plant will start to produce melon blocks when the stem looks like this.

The process of growing a melon stem can be sped up using
BONE MEAL.
Once the stem is fully grown, it will eventually grow a melon block to the side like this:

If you mine a melon block, you will get 3-7 melon slices. If you put a melon slice into your crafting table, you will get 1 melon seed.
